In 1989, Jim and Janice Gwin began setting manufactured homes in their community. With a focus on honesty and integrity, and a passion for helping families achieve their new home dreams, the reputation and business grew.

And thirty years later, we’re continuing to build on that legacy. As second-generation business owners, we pride ourselves on still being intimately involved in our projects. We are on-site and available to answer your questions and address your concerns at your convenience.

Jim Martin

Vice President / Project Mgr.

Jim Martin is a proud second-generation owner of Bayshore Homes, having joined the company in 1995 under the leadership of its founders, Jim and Janice Gwin. As Vice President and General Manager, Jim oversees nearly every aspect of the company's operations. His primary day-to-day role is Project Management Lead, ensuring that each project benefits from his direct attention and expertise. With 30 years of experience in the Manufactured and Modular Housing industry, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Bayshore team. His deep understanding of the industry, combined with his commitment to honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic, has helped shape Bayshore Homes into the trusted company it is today. Jim firmly believes that every project is not just another house, it’s someone’s home, and he takes great pride in ensuring every detail of the process is executed with the utmost care and professionalism. Jim is not only an expert in his field but also a great leader and mentor to the team. His guidance and dedication set the standard for excellence at Bayshore, inspiring those around him to provide the best possible service to customers. Family has always been at the heart of Bayshore Homes, and Jim is especially proud that his children have joined him as the third generation to be part of the business. He has also cherished the opportunity to work alongside his wife, Jean, for 30 years, making their shared dedication to the company even more special. He also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, and an annual camping trip with college friends. Jacob Martin

Operations Coordinator/Service Mgr.

Jacob Martin has been part of Bayshore Homes since 2012, working alongside his father, Jim, during summer breaks before officially joining the team full-time after graduating from Slippery Rock University in 2022 with a degree in Business Management. As Operations Manager, Jacob plays a key role in keeping projects on track by coordinating with our on-site team and ensuring smooths communication and support throughout the process. His responsibilities span across operations, quality control, service, and scheduling. He personally inspects each home to ensure it meets Bayshore’s high standards, coordinates service requests, and helps manage contractor schedules to keep everything running smoothly. Being part of a third-generation, family-owned business is something Jacob takes great pride in. He values the opportunity to serve his community and work alongside his family to help customers bring their dream homes to life. A local through and through, Jacob graduated from MASH, where he played football and lacrosse. George Duke

Home & Project Consultant

With over 20 years of experience in the modular and manufactured home industry, George has been a trusted Home Consultant at Bayshore Homes for two decades. His passion for the company, the product, and most importantly, his customers, has made him an invaluable part of the team. George takes pride in guiding customers through the entire home-buying process, from the first meeting to the moment they step into their finished home. He believes in a customer-first approach, following the principle he learned early in his career: “Always wear the shoes of the customer.” His dedication to exceptional service has earned him two awards from Bayshore Homes recognizing his commitment to customer satisfaction. Before joining Bayshore, George worked as a Home Consultant at a competitor but found that their business model didn’t align with his values. He soon discovered that Bayshore was the perfect fit and has proudly called it home ever since. Prior to that, he managed a 30,000-square-foot furniture store in Franklin, PA, and served as a District Manager for an electronics retailer in Erie, PA. His extensive background in sales and management has shaped his consultative, customer-focused approach. A proud veteran of the Marine Corps, George began his career in retail shortly after his military service. Ryan Paden

Project Mgr.

Ryan has been with Bayshore Homes for almost 2 years and plays a vital role as Project Manager. With nearly 10 years of prior experience in the nursing home industry, Ryan excels at connecting with his customers and guiding them through every step of building their dream home. His patience and understanding help him build strong, lasting relationships with customers, making the home-building process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. What Ryan loves most about his job is the opportunity to help customers make their dream home a reality. He takes great pride in being part of such an important milestone in their lives, ensuring they feel confident and supported throughout the entire journey. In addition to managing projects, Ryan also helps with the care and upkeep of our campus, the parts store, and other areas of the business, he’s always jumping in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly. Assistant Sales Mgr.

Jayne Martin is the Assistant Sales Manager at Bayshore Homes and a proud third-generation owner of the family business. With nearly three years at Bayshore and a background in manufacturing, she brings both expertise and a deep passion for helping customers achieve their dream of homeownership. Jayne genuinely cares about every customer she works with, understanding that buying a home is one of the most important decisions they will ever make. She takes the time to listen, guide, and support each customer, ensuring they feel confident and excited throughout the entire process. From the first conversation to handing over the keys, she is dedicated to making the experience as smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable as possible. She treats every project as if it were her own, always prioritizing honesty, transparency, and the highest level of care. Volunteering and serving the community is very important to Jayne. She proudly serves as a member of the Crawford County Planning Commission, on the Board of Directors for United Way of Western Crawford County, as a member of the Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance, and as an active Chamber member. She was named the 2024 Emerging Leader of the Year at the Chamber of Commerce Diamond Awards and is a proud alum of Leadership Meadville. Samantha Stump

Office Adminstator

Samantha Stump joined the Bayshore team three years ago as Office Administrator and Decorator for our model homes. She is also the Executive Director at St. James Haven, a homeless shelter for men in Meadville. With decades of experience in customer relations, Samantha brings a genuine love for people and enjoys greeting every customer who walks through the door. She loves using her decorating talents to make each home feel cozy and welcoming for potential homeowners searching for their forever home. Samantha cares deeply about each customer and takes pride in working alongside the Bayshore Homes team to help make every sale go smoothly. Jean Martin is the President and Sales Manager at Bayshore Homes, a company her parents proudly founded in 1989. Jean has been with the company since 1990 and plays a vital role in leading the sales team, guiding the business, and continuing her family’s legacy. What Jean loves most about her work is the opportunity to bring positivity, energy, and encouragement to her team every day. She has a true passion for helping people achieve their dream of homeownership and finds deep joy in working alongside her family, her husband, Jim, and their children, Jayne and Jacob as they carry forward the business her parents built. Jean is a natural leader who motivates those around her to do their best, always with a kind and genuine heart. Jean is also deeply committed to giving back to her community. She serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce and as Secretary/Treasurer for the Meadville Medical Center Foundation Board. Office Mascot

Joe is Bayshore Homes’ beloved German Shepherd and official mascot, bringing smiles and tail wags to our team and customers. Turning 6 this year, Joe has become a familiar and friendly face around the office, known for his gentle nature, loyal spirit, and ability to brighten everyone’s day. Joe isn’t just an office dog, he’s an honorary member of our onsite crews! He loves visiting job sites, working alongside the crews, and proudly carrying his giant 2x4s around the Bayshore campus. Whether he’s greeting customers, supervising projects, or starring in team photos, Joe is truly part of the Bayshore family.
